Nagomi Shabu-Shabu

Since Nina was given the day off for Hari Raya, we decided to have steamboat dinner. I suggested Nagomi Shabu-Shabu at Jaya33. I’ve eaten there a few times with colleagues and office guests and so far, there are good comments about the food and restaurant.

Nagomi Shabu-Shabu is located in Section 13, PJ which is opposite Asia Jaya building.

PG-02B, Ground Floor, Jaya 33
No 3, Jalan Semangat
Section 13
46400 PJ
Tel: 03-79562330

The restaurant is having the Ramadan special until 5 Oct 08 ie Buy 3 Free 1. The cheapest set will be free. There is also a 10% discount for Jusco card member. We can choose either promotion but not both.

The set came with soup choice of Nagomi (clear soup), Chicken or Spicy soup. This waiter was pouring soup to individual pots.

I ordered the above spicy soup. The taste is good and not too spicy.

The set also came with a plate of vegetables with mushroom, tofu and noodle, a bowl of rice and 3 different types of dip. Aunty YC liked the vegetables.

We ordered 4 sets of Shabu-Shabu ... Salmon (RM45), Tuna Maguro (RM45), Ribeye Shabu Shabu (RM39) and Chicken Shabu Shabu (RM29).

This is the poultry chicken set. The chicken was sliced so thin and we mixed the egg in the middle of the plate with the meat before dipping it inside the pot. The taste was yummy!

Hubby loves to eat beef. As we do not eat beef at home, he only gets to eat beef when we dine outside. Hubby ordered the above Ribeye shabu shabu set. According to him and Aunty YC, the meat was tender.

I ordered the above salmon shabu-shabu set. The colour of the meat was so fresh and nice.

These were the Ramadan special (Buy 3 Free 1) that we ordered. The front plate of red meat was the tuna Maguro set.

We ate the salmon and tuna raw with wasabi and also boiled it lightly in the pot.

The meal came up to RM157 nett with 3 Ocha at RM2.50 each. Hubby said its a good value meal.

The happy children after the good meal. They were able to play in the restaurant as the restaurant was not pack and noisy. Most people had left the city for the long festive holiday break.
